Get some food-for-thought first thing in the morning, with our guest speaker Dr Marcos Pelenur (CEO, EECA) sharing his insights and challenging attendee thinking.

Marcos will be touching on his experience, roles and the things that he is passionate about that led him to taking up the role as Chief Executive of EECA. In 2023 he returned to New Zealand after two years based in Ottawa, Canada, where he was Head of Sustainability and Decarbonisation at the Behavioural Insights Team.  Before that he had worked in policy leadership positions in New Zealand Government and also guest lectured at Victoria University. His resume includes numerous published papers and academic accolades. But Marcos’s journey was moulded not just by his jobs, his engineering background and academics, but by his passion for people and a strong belief in innovation and sustainability.  As Chief Executive of EECA his vision is to work better together as a collective in a way that benefits everyone.

This by-invitation event is for geothermal industry leaders and local Taupo District business and industry leaders who are keen to understand how they can successfully steer their enterprises.
